Renewing Riding Pass
Dear EAL students and TR Saturday students, I just got a message from the Park that beginning of new 2016, you have to go to the Equestrian Office and ask for your new Riding Passes. You do not have to purchase anything , just take your new ID which should be with you anytime you ride.
For more info call the Park and ask for Megan, manager 703-437-9101
Thank you.

Original message from the Park Manager:
Hello! Just to keep everyone up to date on riding passes as we start a new year.
We have new riding passes for daily, quarterly and annual riders (...)
This is important for multiple reasons most of which is out of concern for safety (The new passes have a place to put emergency contact info and pre-existing medical conditions)
We also have a rider check-in book in the Equestrian Office and at the end of the indoor arena where riders should sign in and place their current coggins.
Pass Prices -
Daily Riding Pass $15
Quarterly Riding Pass $55
Annual Riding Pass $200
Riders should call ahead and purchase a pass before their arrival if they will not be arriving during regular business hours.
If someone needs to purchase a pass during off hours they should call the duty phone and a maintenance staff member will assist them.

Saturday we shall gather at normal time 9-12.
Thank you for friendship and work at SPIRIT

Celebration
Celebrating the end of quarantine!
Graces test came back negative and we are free to come out and ride.
Stay tuned and will publish if outdoor ring is good to be used tomorrow evening, or we shall come to the trail this Saturday morning.
Thank you all for your support, patience and understanding.
Friends and volunteers made this period a great experience for all - horses have been taken care of, and new mares had some start up even just at the small field where they are smile emoticon

Back home, and still waiting to quit quarantine to work at the Park
Dear friends, families, riders, volunteers,
thank you for all good wishes for my travel to visit parents in Croatia. They worked well and I am back thankful for another chance to be with my mom and dad.
I am excited for our event this Saturday and looking forward to see most of you there smile emoticon
Update from the vet and our schedule - Good news first - EHV1 we registered in one of new mares was not horrible neurological form, but more common respiratory one. No one else in herd showed any symptoms. Our new mares are separated from the main herd, and whole farm is under quarantine until we get the green light from our Shannon the Vet smile emoticon
Bad news are that waiting it might affect our plans to start riding at the Park this coming Monday Dec/14th.
We still can and will gather starting this Monday, and do what we (volunteers and EAL students) can to get our horses ready for the Winter Class starting in a month.
Stay in touch with SPIRIT and hope to seeing you this Saturday at Kalypso's Tavern, Reston, at 5 PM
Be well!
