Dear Families and Friends of SPIRIT                    ,

SPIRIT has always needed you and our gratitude for your contributions knows no bounds.  As we look forward to the New Year, we plan to carry on with enthusiasm and purpose.   We are also so very much appreciative of your gracious hospitality and hands-on volunteerism through dedication to SPIRIT's programs.

SPIRIT and its programs benefit all who are touched by our efforts.  We want that to continue.  Please help us with your donation again if you are able and we look forward to seeing you next year as we continue our dedication to the mission and vision of SPIRIT.

Best wishes for the holiday season.

Infinity passed away

Dear friends,

it is sad time for SPIRIT as we lost an old but wise and noble mare Infinity today.
This morning she came into the stall but refused to eat.
Short breath indicated that her heart is giving up.
She was pain free until the end, laid and passed away peacefully..

PLANS FOR REOPENING

PLANS FOR REOPENING
At SPIRIT, the health and well-being of our participants, volunteers, and community is our top priority. During this time of uneasiness as COVID-19 impacts our daily lives, we want to assure you that we remain committed to providing the high-quality and compassionate care you have come to expect from us.
SPIRIT has created a detailed, comprehensive plan that is staged in three phases with each phase reducing restrictions. SPIRIT will enter each phase of the plan only after Northern Virginia as a region enters its own corresponding reopening phases and as SPIRIT is prepared.
At this time SPIRIT DOES NOT have a reopening date.
The plan covers the new policies and procedures that staff, volunteers and clients will follow regarding limiting the number of people on property, social distancing, reducing touch points, facemask requirements, cleaning and sanitizing schedules and more. The plan was compiled taking into account CDC recommendation, state restrictions and equestrian activity specific precautions and safety procedures. The plan will be reviewed by legal and medical professionals to be sure SPIRIT has taken all perspectives into consideration.
SPIRIT also knows that information and recommendations for COVID-19 are ever-changing and is prepared to keep up to date on new, relevant information from reliable resources to be able to change and update the plan as needed.

COVID-19 Update

Well-being, safety, and community are part of
our guiding values at SPIRIT So in order to best
protect the well-being of our clients, volunteers,

further notice.
This situation is unprecedented and ever-evolving

Hello, families and friends
Hope you and your loved ones are doing well
Thank you for staying in touch with us and keeping SPIRIT in your heart.
As you know,

But SPIRIT is alive and wait for opportunity to continue doing good in community.
We may need some help to pay bills while waiting to open our servicies again.

If you can, support SPIRIT Mission.

Thank you!

Stand by SPIRIT and make sure that it is ready to continue it's Mission

SPIRIT , like most of the world, shut down operations.
Help us to stay alive and be ready to continue our services when it is over.

It is quiet at the barn and it is sad. It is sad not to be able to serve at this
moment. It is sad that SPIRIT can not offer comfort, and healing energy
through interaction with horses.
It is sad, but it will pass.
The community and the whole world will need what SPIRIT and horses can
give, to heal with they powerful support those who are week, to teach life skills
youth and get them ready for life, to release peoples mind and souls from
darkness of stress, anxiety and depression which sometimes life gives to us,
in Therapeutic Riding, Equine Assisted Learning and Equine Assisted
Psychotherapy.
Our team of staff and dedicated volunteers takes care of SPIRIT Herd.
We cut off all but mandatory expenses in order for SPIRIT to survive.
But some expenses are still here and will pile up with any another week
while the world is in isolation and our operations are closed.
Do not let Corona stop SPIRIT.
SPIRIT served community for many years and will continue as soon as
it will become possible
If you believe in our Mission and if you have experience of improving
the quality of life, healing and life skills horses can bring into the life of a
child or anyone, make sure that SPIRIT will be ready to continue to be an
important source of good things for families in our area.
Be well
Thank you!
