Bad weather forecast

Possible cancellation of Monday lesson. Please, check updated Blog after 3 PM, or call me about final decision.
In case of severe thunderstorm with heavy wind and/or lightening , just stay safe and dry at home.

IMPORTANT

Hello to all riders,
winter will be over soon, I hope and we are ready to start as soon as weather permits.
You, probably, already know the news about contract with Fairfax county Park Authority which will allow us to continue operating at the Frying Pan Farm Park for next five years. I am excited about it, as it will bring a lot of good things for Spirit families. and for Spirit Program itself.

Also, we start to operate in semesters, and spring semester starts at the end of the March and lasts 8 weeks in total.

Monday, Tuesday and Saturday are still our days for Therapeutic Program.

I scanned page from "Parktakes", where you can find codes for each class, and you can secure your spot by phone, pay by credit card, and so on...
We do not have indoor ring access Saturdays, and any cancellation due of weather will be made up.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and see you in March... or earlier...if weather is warm we can do one or two lessons before switching into semester schedule. Contact me for details. Saturday 19th I am at Region 3 conference, at NC, so no lessons that weekend.

Yesterday...

It was so cold yesterday. Very cold. Even teenagers confirmed my impression.But they were there to help. Thanks to their helping hands,we did all lessons. Parents did not cancel, so Aron, Nicole, Elizabeth, Becky, Sarah, Ava and one more Elizabeth had great lessons on Spirit, Tess, Lucinda, Infinity and Colby Dylan.
Thank you Ilana, Naomi, Mira, Zoe, Becky, Sarah and Elizabeth...and more than anything else, thanks to Jeff who is, with me senior-teenager, and was there to help and support Spirit Team.

Can not wait for Spring!

Volunteers are ready to come even in this bad weather, so I assume that we will be able to do lessons today. At least, it is not too cold, but parents should make final decision in case of kids who walk only.

Spirit Team ready for Spring Season!

Mission accomplished

Field is clean, horses groomed, and we did great walk trail ride today....
special thanks to Therese and Andrew for providing almost two sets of bedding for our horses :)Still, if you have some more dry leaves reachable, we would like to use it for bedding.... Thank you!

Thank you Spirit people for solving problem we had...Water issue has been resolved, for now.

Saturday!

This Saturday, 10-12 as scheduled, work at the field, grooming horses, and some trial ride if all is done on time...See you !

Can we make it better?

We need to improve our field. Bob cat and lot of crushed stone would help. Any ideas, suggestions?
Also, we are looking for affordable water delivery to our field. We need 500 gal each ten days.... :(

Class for kids , first in this year, finished with pride. Lesson was fun and successful, so some of our students will apply for next class, too. :)

Same as yesterday, only independent riders (walk / trot) will have lesson tonight. Young kiddos in Therapeutic program , please be patient and wait for friendlier weather.
