Saturday at the Spirit Field

Hay storage is full, and we are ready for the winter!!!
Thanks to all who made it happen, Mr Ollie, Mr Sam, and Mindy and Jeff who unloaded and sorted 50 bales today:)
Thank you Sue for doing great lessons this morning and keeping all happy and safe.
Thank you volunteers who also made it possible for all.
Infinity, Glory and Tess participated at the Autism Clinic at the Park today, and we are proud the way they did this additional job.

And at the end of the day, I recognized that we do miss someone who would make photos of some great moments we have at each lesson time...Anyone willing to take that role?

Wish you a great rest of the week end, and see you Monday!

Thursday lesson and message for Week end Riders and Volunteers

Thursday report: Mr Bill said "It was so much energy at the field tonight..." and he was right. Fist full Silver in Saddle group did great and we were all excited with our students all way above 60 years old having first experience in saddle. It was inspirational for all of us.

Thank you all who helped to make it happen!

Dear all, riders, families, volunteers,
read this if you have scheduled lessons on Friday or Saturday.
As you know, at those days our lessons depend of activity at the Park, and sometime, of weather condition, as we can not use indoor in most of week ends.
I will try to keep you posted about actual situation.
This week end Park has Barrel racing show, and even lower ring is open for riding, that mea
ns it is open for competitors to warm up and practice, beside anyone else.
It is not safe to do therapy or any kind of beginners lessons under that conditions.
Good news are that next week end, Park has no scheduled shows, and even indoor might be open for riding, so we can do all planed lessons Friday and Saturday!
Please, always check the FB or here before you head to the Friday/Saturday lessons to have info about situation and possible changes.
For Volunteers, and students Anja, Maya and Melissa, who use to have lessons, Friday or Saturday may be one hour or more working day, as our horses, field and equipment need daily maintenance, love and work :).
I just need to know if you have plan to come to plan activities at the field.
Please, contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you for your patience and support, sincerely,

Last minute info

Volunteer and riders, welcome to the first day of our Fall session

Lessons will be at the indoor ring.

volunteers, please, do not forgot to set up evening meal before you leave the barn.
Saddles, bridles, grooming kits are in storage in the indoor. If it is not raining, just groom horses at our field and bring them to tack in indoor. Do not be surprised, with setting there, it is not usual, but we will find the space to do our first lesson of this Fall session. If it is raining, put rain blankets (in each horse stall) and bring them to groom in indoor ring.
See you soon!

Lucinda and Driving Program

After several hours of perfect driving on the ground, Lucinda was not delighted with wagon behind her :(
After some crazy running, few scratches  and a pound of peppermints ...we finished on a good note - walking a circle with full equipment, including wagon...

We have a big homework to do before start this program, but, she is smart and we are stubborn enough, so, we will do it.

This above is not Lucinda, but that is how it should be one day :)

Next week

Dear Spirit Family,

This coming week, share what Spirit means to you and Bring a Friend for Volunteer Training Week!

What motivates you to come and stay?

Is it the horses or the outdoors? The hard work or the fun? The exercise or how it’s relaxing to forget about everything else? Is it spending time with others or doing service for the community? Or maybe it’s all of the above? Bring a friend to Spirit this week for volunteer training to share the experience.

Please refresh our information about when you can volunteer .
Park lessons start Monday 9/17, so we need a full crew every day!
