• New Entrance for the Fair 

On Saturday and Sunday, getting into the park will be a little different (and hopefully easier) this year! The entrance to the park will be on MONROE STREET bringing everyone through the back entrance to the park. Exiting will be directed to the front of the park onto West Ox Rd. Police and volunteers will be standing by to help direct traffic. This change is for Saturday and Sunday only.

• If you ever wonder what is going on at the Spirit field if there is no lessons ?
  A lot of work but even more fun!
  Ask Ilana, Naomi, Mira, Zoe, Emily, Jill about it 
  Tonight we managed to do make up lesson for one of Wednesday riders, and enjoy trial ride, some jumps and canter as well. 
  Years of dedication to the Spirit Program made this moments possible...

• Charlie, aged TB mare who spent few years serving community as perfect therapeutic horse, is at the end of her working time.... She needs some care and love, without saddle to gain back some weight, and bring back her energy...Susan and Jim, Spirit's friends for last several years, offered a special retirement home for her. Spirit Team can not be more thankful for this.
• Come and say Good Bye to Charlie  - Saturday, August 10th, at noon, at the Spirit field

• Second camp week almost done...one more to come...Lot of kids to teach how to understand, love, care and ride with Spirit.

Come and be part of it.

Second week of Summer Camp just started.
Lot of fun, great weather, beautiful ponies, wonderful people....and Spirit in action :)

Dear Saturday Riders, please, be aware that there will be a busy day at the Park tomorrow. I do not want cancel lessons, but, most likely we shall be not be able to use trail ride and shade there...so we shall be at the lower ring. See you there!

Next two weeks

Hot but busy Saturday at Spirit field.
Thank you all who came to help, specially to those who usually do not come at Sat lessons, and great new people who came to help...Therese, Brook, Michelle, Talia, Jim, Patty, Julia, Lisa, Eric, Ilana, Mira, Zoe, Naomi, Nick...
Thank you Sue for great teaching and congratulations to all riders Luciano, Nicholas, Mellisa, Aaron, Ryan, Tyler, Kevin, Louis and Amira...
All horses had a bath after work, and some grazing.

Camp season starts this Monday.
volunteers , there is an opportunity to teach and have fun with our campers, week days 9-12, snack and refreshing drinks will be available.
Looking forward to seeing you there!

For next two weeks, during the Camp season - PM activities will be reduced to volunteer training, horse and field care, some make up lessons, and will finish until 7.30.

For the Camp, volunteers are gathering at the Barn at 9 AM, Camp activities are 9.30-11.30

PM hours July 22-26 is the make up week for second summer class, and both weeks we continue to take care of horses and field, including exercising horses as needed.

Week end prospectives

Did you check a forecast for this week end, starting tomorrow PM?

I did.
It says "Chances for thunderstorms... 20-60%..." :(
What I have learned so far - whenever I cancel lessons because of rain it is dry and pleasant weather at the Park.

This time, let's make it this way: Volunteers, please,  just come as there is so much to be done any Sat morning, and each rider should make a decision and take a risk to come and see that is raining at the Park.
I will, also, post again about weather condition an hour before we have a first lesson. For Friday it will be before 5 PM and Saturday before 9 AM. Hopefully then will be easier to decide :)

Friday - too much rain, but we should be able to ride at Saturday

So far, not good at all for Friday riding at outdoor ring.

If it is a heavy rain all day long as forecast predicts, I am afraid that we should skip lessons again. So sorry 

Good news is that Saturday should be fine 

Good bye Hadel, Jamelah and Hala!

Warm day at the Park today. Just a few riders in therapy, but lot of fun with horses, bathing them and taking care of them... Today we had to say good bye to Hadil, Jamela and Hala Salmon, great young ladies who spent with Spurit over 2 years and now they are moving to Canada. They are going to be missed, not only Thursdays, Fridays lesson time and some mornings when they use to come and help, and we shall remember them forever. They told us that they will come again sometime... We are all looking forward fr it! Thank you Salmon girls for all you gave to Spirit Program, good luck wherever you go
