Hello,
I hope everyone safely made it through snowmaggedon last week! While the snow has put me in quite the Olympic spirit, I do wish we had a bit of Sochi's weather... Regardless, here are a few important updates to keep in mind while admiring the YOLO flips, twizzles and Norwegian curling team's pants this week:
(ATTN: EXPERIENCED VOLUNTEERS:)
1. Continuing make-up lessons. Given the cancellations last week, we've adjusted the lesson schedule to continue holding make-ups this week. The new schedule is at the bottom of this email, but the take-away is that double make-ups will be happening on Wednesday and Thursday this week- so we'll need as many volunteers as possible then! Please pay close attention to the schedule, and if your name is down for either of those days, double-check your schedule. If you aren't going to be able to make it, please let me know ASAP (or edit the google spreadsheet).
(ATTN: BRAND NEW VOLUNTEERS:)
2. Intensive volunteer training on Saturday! 10-12 AM
Rain or shine we're planning on holding volunteer training and activities
on Saturday. So, if you've been considering volunteering, but weren't sure when would be a good time to learn the ropes, this is the perfect chance! If the weather is nice we'll hold activities at our normal barn next to the Lower Ring. If it rains, we'll make use of our wonderful new indoor space at the Higgins house and use the more sheltered stalls down below.
(Thank you Emma for nice wording )
