Another great Ride4 SPIRIT Event!

What an event we had this Saturday. Perfect riders (25 riders) and great Team, in a ring, outside greeting guests, workshop in warm up ring and 4 hours of celebration of skills of SPIRIT riders.
At the first half, Therapeutic Riding Program students presented their independence in walk in trot, playing games and riding dressage pattern as well. Then, 12-2 PM Equine Assisted Learning Riders did Equitation and Obedience classes, finishing with impressive bareback riding in trot, canter and jumping small fences.
Our young guests learned about safety, leading horses, and had a chance to ride.
Lot of smiles, even happy tears (parents), excitement, pride, joy and fun.
Thank you Lauren, Karen, Sarah, Aaron, Rob, Robert, Kris, Patty, Nina, Melisa, Claire, Julia, Diana,Christina, Jeff, Maria, Ralph, Kim, D, Huey Chuck , Doreen, Laura, and everyone else who came and helped yesterday, from set up, bringing and setting up food, to supporting riders in ring and workshop, side activities around ring and cleaning at the end.
Special thanks to EAL students who worked hard to have horses ready and safe during the whole event.

We will take care of your child while you take a well-deserved break. One of the purposes of our program is to help our kids become more independent by teaching them independent living skills. They will also have fun while engaging in musical activities, arts and crafts, and games.
To better help our kids achieve success, in addition to our wonderful volunteers, we will be joined by Local professional volunteers in the areas of ABA, OT, Speech, and FloorTime. These amazing resources have been put together by all our volunteers who love and work with our kids every day in school settings, the home environment, therapy sessions, and in the community.
Our fun classrooms includes: Life Skill Learning Camp, Music and Art (Sensory Room), ABA/OT/Speech/FloorTime Activities/Games Room
Planned activities
October: Trick or Treat bags decoration; November: Make your own snuggle blanket/scarf; December: Ho-Ho-Ho! Personalized Stockings
Please send in no meat lunch and two snacks as we promote vegetarian food in the facility. We will also prepare snacks (pancake, homemade fries, hash brown, pizza, and fruits) in our tiny chef kitchen. Parent consent form for spare snacks will be provided on the day of event.
To register the Open House and monthly program, please follow the google form link below:
We need students and welcome more volunteers!
New volunteers will be provided 2 hours training per month to cover the personal care assistant (PCA) training material and Autism related caregiver tips.

Parking and driving issues

Dear SPIRIT Families, Volunteers, Riders, Students...

Please consider that space left of manure bin at SPIRIT rented space in Frying Pan Farm Park, is not parking space. This is a RPA area and should not been disturbed anyhow.
Thank you for helping SPIRIT to stay complaint with Park regulations and rules.

Second, very important message: There is a speed limit to drive through the Park. It is 10 mph.
Please, show your good Spirit and drive slow πŸ™

Thank you for all you do for SPIRIT! πŸ’“πŸ˜ƒπŸ™
